Breakfast smoothie

We love morning smoothies as they are quick to prepare and can be drunk on the go if necessary . Keep a bag of frozen sliced bananas in the freezer this will help chill and thicken your smoothie. By adding avocado pear to the mix it will help keep you full for longer as will the chia seeds . If you want to make your smoothie more nutritious you can add a scoop of vegan protein powder .

Serves 2

2 small bananas sliced

1/2 paw paw, peeled, seeded and sliced

About 125g strawberries , hulled

1/2 avocado pear

500ml unsweetened almond milk or milk of your choice

2 tablespoons chia seeds

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add extra milk to achieve your desired consistency .
